January is National Soup Month! Bring your favorite soup to share. Cookbooks available for inspiration!
Join us for the 2004 version of “The Phantom of the Opera” based on Gaston Leroux’s 1910 novel. Attendees get an extra entry for our monthly reading challenge raffle! Light snacks provided; bring a pillow or comfy chair. The film runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes and is PG-13.

Our non-fiction book club! We are discussing “The Crate: A Story Of War, A Murder, And Justice” by Deborah Vadas Levison. Stop by to pick up your copy!

The CT State Library and Gov. Ned Lamont created the Everyone Learns Library Grant that was offered to 61 CT libraries and JCCL was one of the lucky to be chosen.
Library staff noticed how many people were sitting in their cars last summer using the WIFI and wanted to create a comfortable space for everyone to use the high-speed internet we had installed.
Other Grant improvements inside the library have been completed. Stop in and check them out!
Visitors can enjoy a reading a book, working on the internet or just enjoy the beautiful gardens this year at the Janet Carlson Calvert Library. A picnic table and completed flooring due this June.
